Sara (Sue) Frary, 83, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Sue was born in Rochester, New York on August 12, 1939 to the late Ernest Wiard and Gladys Wiard.

Sara graduated from Avon High School in Avon, NY in 1957, soon after she met and married her soldier, Ralph. They would travel wherever the Army took them:   Virginia, Germany, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Alabama.  When Ralph retired from the Army, they moved back home to Rochester, NY to finish raising their children.  Once they became empty nesters, they moved to Sorrento, FL and eventually settled in Fayetteville, NC. She had several jobs working in retail, eventually retiring from a job where she taught her love of sewing. She loved creating on her sewing machine and would gift her creations to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ralph Frary of Fayetteville NC, her five children: James Frary of Cornelius NC, Mark (Dora) Frary of Deltona FL, Lynnett (David) Urbi of Fayetteville NC, Kimberly Wentworth of Deltona FL, and Richard Frary of Fayetteville NC. Her two sisters, Eleanor Wood and Joyce Ervin along with her brother Ernest G Wiard Jr.; 11 grandchildren, Angela, Kristina, Jennifer, Theresa, Michael, Benjamin, Tina, Clifford, Katrina, Ashley and Jesse; 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be conducted 2:00 PM January 13, 2023 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery 8220 Bragg Blvd. Fort Bragg, NC 28310 with Minister James Blount officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 Noon January, 14, 2023 at 7512 Wilkins Dr. Fayetteville, NC 28311.
