Dateline: Supply formerly of Hope Mills
Mr. Wilbur H. Faircloth, 78, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 in his home.
Wilbur was born in Cumberland County to the late Hinton and Eva Childress Faircloth. He served in the National Guard for eight years and retired after 30 years as a route salesman for Sunbeam. He loved fishing and the beach and had recently moved to Supply to be closer to the ocean. He was a great man and will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Bruce Faircloth, Bill Faircloth and Martha Prosperi.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Roberts Faircloth of Supply; children, Glenn Faircloth (Catherine) of Victor, NY, Lorie Hair (Keith) of Burgaw, Chris Roberts (Tammy) of Hope Mills and Chad Roberts (Joanne Bean) of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Mae Horn (Bob) of Fayetteville, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm Friday, March 24, 2017 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd., Fayetteville, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00 pm following the visitation with Pastor Robert Staples officiating.
