Wanda Yvonne Groves Wilson, 68, of Grays Creek gained her heavenly wings Monday, February 26, 2024. Wanda was born on October 1, 1955. She was the daughter of Mary Agnes and the late William Groves. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Wilson, a nephew, Robert Steven Cooper, son, Jimmy Ray Wilson, Jr. Perished with Wanda was her grandson, Dylan Christoper Townsend, son of Clay and Billy Jo Townsend and daughter-in-law, Amber Nucci, wife of Jamie Ray Wilson. Wanda is survived by sons, Clay Townsend, Jamie Wilson, and James Wilson, daughters Tonya Cotton, (Alvin), Aniyah Wilson, Wendy Theisen, (Jay), Sharon Sullivan, and Susan Wilson, eight grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, sisters Vickie Cooper (Robert), Ellon Cook, (Ricky), and Lorie Johnson (Danny), brother Ken Groves (Sheila), and a special friend Michelle Jacobs Emanuel (Jimmy), with an abundance of nieces, nephews, and a host of wonderful friends.
Wanda’s family stands as a testament to her enduring love and nurturing spirit. Through her guidance and care, she cultivated a close-knit family filled with warmth and support. Their bond, strengthened by shared memories and experiences, serves as a reflection of the love she bestowed upon them. As they navigate through this time of loss, may their unity and cherished moments together provide comfort and strength in the days ahead.
