Technical Sergeant Eduardo R. Rivas, 33, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Cary, NC.

Eduardo was born August 29, 1980 in Panama City, Panama to Eduardo Rivas and Elizabeth Chen. He was a Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Communications in the United States Air Force.

He was assigned to the 682d Air Support Operation Squadron, Pope Army Airfield, Ft. Bragg, NC.

He is survived by his wife Miletsy Soto Rivas of the home; son, Julian E. Rivas of the home; daughter, Valeria M. Rivas of the home; father, Eduardo Rivas of Florida; mother, Elizabeth Chen of Panama City, Panama; brother, Gabriel A. Rivas of Panama City, Panama and sister, Angelica M. Rivas of Panama City, Panama.

Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 PM Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Pope Chapel, 315 Ethridge Street, Pope Army Airfield, NC 28308. A Funeral Mass will begin at 3:00 PM following the visitation at the chapel with Chaplain (LTC) Michael Travaglione officiating.
