MAJ Thomas Kern Jones (Ret)

MAJ Thomas Kern Jones, (Ret), of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 74.

Thomas was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Thomas William Jones and Alta Jean Forrest Jones. Thomas planned from an early age to enlist in the US Army and make it his career. After his retirement he loved collecting things and was a good chef and loved to barbeque with friends. He had a room built onto his house that held his HO and Lionel O gauge model train collection. He was a member of the Fort Bragg Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) where he was the membership coordinator for about ten years. He maintained membership records, chapter ride logs and point system in regard to officer eligibility for yearly elections. His life long buddy was his dog Coco who he adored. Tom will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

MAJ Jones is survived by his brother, Robert Jones of Rouses Point, New York; aunts, Rhudell Miller and her husband Wayne, several cousins and extended family members and friends.

Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd, Fort Liberty, NC 28301.
