Mrs. Sue Walker Alexander, 70, Passed Away Friday, January 16, 2015 in Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Fayetteville.

Sue Walker Alexander was born on September 5, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY to Casper and Catherine Walker. On January 16, 2015 the Lord saw His angel was growing tired and ready to return home to Him at the age of 70. Sue was affectionately known as Susan, neighbor Susie and Mom to a lot of us. She had a host of friends and family who loved her dearly.

Susan continuously talked about many obstacles in her life while growing up but she made it through every adversity with determination and a-no-fail attitude that made her the strong woman she was.

Susan worked for the United States Post Office in Brooklyn, NY for many years, where she was a part of a crew of awesome friends who became near and dear to her. After leaving the Brooklyn Post Office, she moved to Fayetteville, NC to give her younger children a better life and where she made it her home. While living in Fayetteville, Susan worked for Cumberland County Sheriff Department as a school crossing guard where she had brought joy to the children who she helped crossed the street safely.

Susan volunteer for school activities, even after all her children had graduated from school, fed the homeless, donated food and clothing to many organizations through-out Fayetteville as well as adopted families on special occasions. Susan’s passion was to help others and she was always there to lend a helping hand, whether it was kind words of encouragement or act of support to those who needed it.

Sue Walker Alexander leaves to mourn her spouse George Alexander of Fayetteville; Children: Tracey Walker of New York, Dorn Alexander and Kevin Alexander, both of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren: Tamarra Robinson, LaStare Robinson, Tawanna Robinson, Anthony Robinson, Tiffany Walker, Keisha Walker, Brandon Walker, Justin Walker, Donte Alexander, and Cheyanne Walker; Brother-in-law: Leonard Alexander; Sister-in-laws: Verna Alexander, Valerie Ann Coy, Jacinta Alexander & Beverly Sharon Alexander; nephews: Werth Walters, Phillip Perkins, Maurice Perkins; Niece: Diane Wells, Andria Alexander and many more nieces and nephews.  Susan also leaves behind four great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two God-children, her dear friend Louis Costello and many more friends who will miss her very much.
Take your rest Susan, for you have earned your wings.
