Stephenie Lynn Hughes

Stephenie Lynn Hughes, 40, of Parkton, North Carolina, passed away at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on November 17, 2023. Born on March 18, 1983 in Cumberland, NC, Stephenie was the daughter to the late George Hughes and Janee Welker.

Stephenie made a living as a construction worker, employed with Jackson Roofing. She had a love for baking sweets and going on fishing trips.

She is survived by daughter Hannah Hancock; grandmother Sylvia Hrach; sister Rebecca Hughes; aunt Kelly Smith; and nephew, Leeland Petty, along with many extended family and beloved friends.

In honor of Stephenie’s life, Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at LaFayette Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Staples officiating.
