Staff Sergeant Dana Lee Childress-Page, 38, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2018.
SSG Childress-Page was born on March 4, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, but spent a majority of her early adulthood in Carson City, Nevada. Dana enlisted in the U.S. Army in October 2009 and served proudly over 9 years.
Dana is survived by her wife, Dawn Page, and her mother, Diane Childress.
Dana was loved by all who knew her. She had a spirit that turned an interaction with a stranger into a fast-moving connection. Her warmth, smile, and personality infected everyone around her. During her life, Dana met each obstacle with reckless abandon and lived life on her own terms. Dana lived for the absolute love of animals, fast moving cars, loud-rolling motorcycles, laughter with friends and family, service to this country, and community service.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 from 3-4pm at Lafayette Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held immediately following from 4-4:45 pm at the same location.
In true Dana fashion, a Celebration of Life will follow the service from 5-7pm at World of Beer, 1944 Skibo Road, Fayetteville NC 28314. Please come eat, drink, and share your stories. Guests are kindly asked not to wear black.
