SSG Clyde Arnold Saunders Jr., 64, of Fayetteville, NC died April 23, 2023.

Clyde was born in Yonkers, NY October 7, 1958 son to the late Clyde Arnold Saunders Sr. and Doris Louise Robinson. After graduating high school Clyde enlisted in the United States Army where he would retire in 1996. He earned his associates degree of General Studies from Central Texas College in 1991. He then later worked as a Corrections Officer for Robeson County Jail and retired again in 2013. SSG Saunders enjoyed gaming, RC Cars, listening to music, collecting movies, going fishing, BBQ’s and traveling to the Philippines.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Soquillo Saunders, of the home; his sons, Shawn Saunders, of Arizona, Daniel Saunders, of Colorado, Jonathan Saunders, of Greenville, NC and Ronan Mark of the Philippines; his daughter, Shamara Madison Saunders, of Fayetteville, NC; his brothers, James Carter, Mark Saunders, and Timothy Saunders all of Charlotte, NC, Michael Saunders, of Yonkers, NY; four grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
