SPC Tyrice Everette Weaver, 23, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 during a training mission in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
SPC Weaver was born in Detroit, MI on May 14, 1992 to Sharon L. McLean and Richard T. Weaver. He joined the US Army after high school and was assigned to Battery A, 2-8 Field Artillery, First Striker Brigade Combat Team 25th ID, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He is preceded in death by his step father, Anthony Monroe, maternal grandmother, Virginia McLean and step-brother, Randall Woolridge.
His awards and decorations include Army Commendation Medal, Posthumous, Army Good Conduct Medal, Posthumous, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Sevice Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Basic Rifle Marksmanship Qualification Badge, Sharpshooter.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon L. McLean and her Fiancé Bennie Dallas of Fayetteville; his father, Richard T. Weaver of Detroit, MI; sister, Jacklynn Weaver of Fayetteville; niece, Nevaeh L. Stocks of Fayetteville; nephew, Ne’shon L. McLean of Fayetteville; brother, Virginyle Monroe of Fayetteville; half-brother, Kujuan Weaver of Detroit, MI; maternal grandfather, Jack McLean of Fayetteville; Paternal Grandmother, Annie Weaver of Detroit, MI; paternal grandfather, Thomas R. Weaver of Ohio and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Simon Temple AME Zion Church, 5760 Yadkin Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28303.
Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 Noon Thursday following the visitation with Pastor Brian R. Thompson Sr. officiating.
Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.
