Spc Jarrett Nicholas Kotalik

SPC Jarrett Nicholas Kotalik, 21, of Fort Liberty, NC passed away Monday, July 10, 2023.

SPC Jarrett N. Kotalik was born on June 9th, 2002 in Houston, Texas and enlisted in the United States Army in October 2019 as a 13J Fire Control Specialist. He attended basic training at FT. Jackson, SC and completed Advance Individual Training at FT. Sill, OK before arriving to FT. Liberty in 2020. His first assignment was serving in Headquarters and Headquarters Battery as a Fire Control Specialist from 2020 to 2021. SPC Kotalik was later assigned to Alpha Battery, 1-319th AFAR as a Tactical Data System Operator where he served with distinction and from 2021 to 2023.

SPC Kotalik’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, and Marksman- ship Badge for Carbine.

SPC Kotalik is survived by his wife Julie, Father John, Mother Dawn, Brothers, Rafe, Reed & Noah Kotalik, Sister Grace Kotalik and Grandparents George and Rose Kotalik.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 11, 2023 at the All American Chapel, 5301 Ardennes Street, Fort Liberty, NC 28310 with Chaplain (CPT) John Metz officiating.

A private burial will take place Monday, August 14, 2023 in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
