SPC Batton was born on July 7, 1989 in Duvall County, FL to Johnnie and Christina Bennett Batton. SPC Batton Graduated High School and entered the United States Army. He was assigned to HHC, 2 BSTB, 2 BCT, 82nd ABN Division, Fort Bragg, NC.
Battons awards and decorations include Army Achievement Medal (2), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Parachutist Badge.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 1, 2013 at Lafayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville,, NC 28304.
Funeral Service will begin at 8:00 P.M. Friday following the visitation with Chaplain (CPT) Bret Perkuchin officiating.
Burial will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday November 9, 2013 at Decoy Baptist Church and Cemetery, 671 Decoy Rd. Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
