Smsgt Frank Henry "Tinman" Schronce

SMSgt Frank Henry “Tinman” Schronce (RET), 69, of Hope Mills passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.

An extraordinary man, Frank joined the US Air Force, honorably and proudly served as a combat engineer and retired after 20 years of service. He also worked as an Electrical Engineer and retired after 20 years with Dupont. He and Paula, his wife, made it their mission to support our troops and veterans. Their dedication, respect and honor for their services will be forever engraved in the heart of every family that they have touched. A true Hero of noble qualities and selfless contributions that has forever enriched our lives. How do we go on one would ask? Frank would grab the flag, stand at attention and Salute. This is what we will do in honor of a great man that has touched all our lives. SMSgt Schronce, we will see you at the house!

Frank is survived by his wife and the love of his life of 20 years, Paula Schronce; his mother, Anne Marie Graczyk; a son, Matthew Schronce and wife Myra; daughters, Jaqueline Marie Shannon, Stephanie Diggs and husband, Brandon, Melinda Lawson; sisters, Karen Trogden and husband, General Jim Trogden, Kathleen Gustafson; 5 grandchildren that he loved dearly, Brook, Holli, Brady, Rylan, Keller and a host of extended family members and friends.

The Family will receive friends 2:00 -3:00 PM Sunday, August 4, 2024 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

A service to celebrate SMSgt Schronce will begin at 3:00 PM officiated by his closest friends. Full Military Honors will conclude the service.

Interment will be held at a later date.
