Sherry Gray Burgess

With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Sherry Gray Burgess on June 13th, 2024, at the age of 38. Sherry was born on February 19th, 1986, to Karen and Tony Burgess. Sherry was the cherished mother of two wonderful children Luke and Ashlin-Paige, who were her greatest joy and the center of her world. She is also survived by her loving sister Shanna, her brother Tony Jr. and her long-term partner Daniel, who will forever hold her memory dear.

Sherry had an extraordinary ability to light up any room she entered. From her unforgettable smile to her exploding personality, she touched the lives of so many. To her friends and others. Sherry had an infectious energy and vibe that people were drawn to. Caring for others is something she took joy in and it showed in her selfless work as a server and bartender at Texas Roadhouse. Even during her time as a hairdresser Sherry continued to make an impact on the people she met.

In her personal life, Sherry found immense pleasure in making life fun for children and pushing people towards their dreams. Sherry took in all children and treated them as her own. Her love stretched far and wide from her own family to her friends who became family. She had such a giving heart and would give so much of herself to others. She was a do it all kind of person. With her fierce attitude and driven mindset Sherry was one of a kind. Strong willed she was and strong willed she stayed.

Sherry’s legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Village Presbyterian Church, located at 5303 Spruce Dr, Fayetteville NC, 28304. The service will be officiated by Reverend James Dees Jr.
