SFC Jose Antonio Irizarry, (Retired) passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 in his home at the age of 54.

Jose was born in Puerto Rico on March 14, 1962, son to Eduardo Irizarry and Ana Flori Lopez Irizarry. SFC Irizarry served for 21 years in the US Army before retiring in 2004. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. His father, Eduardo Irizarry preceded him in death.

SFC Irizarry leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Carmen I. Irizarry of the home; a son, Jose A. Irizarry Jr. of Fayetteville; daughters, Cheribeth Thomas and Pamela I. Beauchamp, both of Fayetteville; his mother, Ana Flori Lopez Ramirez of Puerto Rico; a brother, Julio Irizarry of Puerto Rico; sisters, Margarita Florio of New York, Awilda Mercado of Florida and Ana Irizarry of Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Alexis Irizarry, Caleb Irizarry and Garriell Thomas Jr.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM -12:00 noon Friday, April 8, 2016 at Capilla Cristo Redentor Assembly of God, 205 Weaver St. Spring Lake, NC 28390.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon following the visitation with Rev. Jose Miranda officiating.

Burial with Full Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
