SFC Adam Joshua Scarisbrick

November 5, 1978 — January 27, 2025

Fayetteville

SFC Adam Joshua Scarisbrick, 46, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 in his home.

SFC Scarisbrick was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 5, 1978, son to Ned Scarisbrick and Carol Martin. SFC Scarisbrick served many tours of duty to include Afghanistan over the course of his Sixteen years of service. He is currently assigned as a Civil Affairs Specialist and his loss will be greatly felt by his family, the Military and his friends.

From a young age, he fell in love with the acoustic guitar and the djembe. He taught himself by ear for the most part, yet had many mentors who guided him along the way. He played in many parades, concerts, and local drum circles and was even in a band called "Know Your Roots,". Adam was a jack of all trades and master of Many. He surfed and skateboarded whilst being a master juggler, hackey-sack and lunastix enthusiast in his younger years. He joined the US Army in 2008, and even through all he went through breaking and sacrificing himself for our country, he was still an amazing father, husband, brother, and friend to all around him. He immensely impacted the civil affairs, social network analysis, and open source intelligence communities, as well as aiding in tearing down human trafficking lords across the world.

He was a passionate man full of life, curiosity, and had a beautiful way of looking for the beauty in the world even though he arguably saw the most evil of anyone I know in this world...

SFC Scarisbrick is preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Mahoney.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Scarisbrick; his mother, Carol Martin-Mahoney; his children, Andrew Brown, Racheal DeMasi, Joshua Scarisbrick, and Michael Scarisbrick; brothers, Aaron Scarisbrick and Mark Nielson; sisters, Angela Wilson, Aimee Armstrong and a host of extended family members and friends.
