Mr. Sandy W. Thompson Jr. died 23 March 2019 in Fayetteville, NC from unknown causes. Sandy Jr. was born 18 May 1984 in Fayetteville, NC to Margaret and Sandy Thompson Sr. Of their two children, he was their only son. As a child he seemed to always have an ailment earning him the nickname, “BooBoo”. From an early age he expressed a passion for music. He learned to play the drums and was a talented drummer. He played in several bands growing up, he enjoyed being involved in the local music scene. But most of all Sandy Jr. loved his family, especially his daughter Caleigh. He and Caleigh were like two peas in a pod, inseparable at times. He cherished every moment they spent together. They were always goofing off and cracking jokes, loved going to the movies together. “BooBoo” was a Mama’s boy and even had those words tattooed. He was a sweet and loving son, even still as a man, they shared an unbreakable bond. He deeply loved his father as well. He enjoyed spending extra time with his dad. As a child would asked God to place angles around his father’s work truck every time before he left. With Sandy Jr. that kindness never stopped, even as a man. He was a loving brother and a caring friend to his sister and brother in law. He was that proud silly uncle to his niece and nephews. Sandy Jr. valued all his friendships, even the special one him and his Step Dad share. They would bond over an occasional cigar. Sandy Jr. converted to Islam and dedicated himself to following the teachings of the Quran and finding peace with God. He was loved by many and will be sincerely missed by all.
He is survived by his mother and father Margaret and Sandy Thompson Sr., step-father Fred Smith, sister and brother-in-law Brandy and Joseph Rossi, nephews Seth and Ian, niece Gia, and beloved daughter Caleigh.
