Mr. Sam Elton Jones Jr., 66, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 in Central Regional Hospital.

Sam was born in Cumberland County on July 18, 1952, son to the late Sam Elton Jones Sr. and Emma Ruth Dorman-Jones. Sam served in the US Army and later became a professional painter in the construction trade. He was also a gifted musician and singer who thru his love of music was able to play multiple instruments. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son Bryan Jones of Lumber Bridge, NC; a daughter, Carolann Rogers of Green Sea, SC; a brother, Tim Jones and his wife Roxann of Wade, NC; a sister, Belinda Lloyd and her husband John of Mt. Washington, KY; 4 grandchildren, McKenna, Danielle, Brooke, Chandler and many extended family members.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Old Bluff Cemetery in Wade, NC.
