Ms. Sallie Jane Deffendall, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in her home.

Sallie was born in Albuquerque, NM on September 20, 1942 to the late Robert and Marjorie Payton Smith. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lee Deffendall and 2 sisters.

She is survived by a son, John Robert Deffendall of San Antonio, TX; 2 daughters, Robin Deffendall and Ginny Deffendall, both of Fayetteville; 5 grandchildren, Robert, Timothy, Kayleigh, John Harlan and Madeline.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2016 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304 with Robert Stacy officiating.
