Ruby Ella (Hughes) Cornett

Ruby Ella Cornett, 86, of Fayetteville, died in Fayetteville, North Carolina on March 22, 2024.

Ruby was born in Hamilton, OH. on July 7, 1937 to Myrtle and Oscar Hughes. She married William B. Cornett Jr. on January 23, 1956. She worked on Fort Liberty at AAFES for forty-five years where she served the military and their families. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband William Blackburn Cornett Jr. and Son William Blackburn “Buddy” Cornett III

She is survived by her son, Jean Wolf Rousseau; daughters, Patricia Ann Fuhrman (Michael) and Ella Marie Cornett (Allen Thompson); grandchildren, Michael William Fuhrman Jr., John Eric Fuhrman, William Blackburn “Bear” Cornett IV, Genevieve Marie Cornett, Patrick Ryan Fuhrman, Thomas Michael Cornett, Caroline Amanda Pauline Fuhrman, Colleen Margaret Brady Hogue, Christopher George “Rocko” Williams Jr., and Amanda Ella Williams; great grandchildren, Michael William “Trois” Fuhrman III, Rebekah Shai-Ann Fuhrman, Jordan Tai Fuhrman, Kayleigh Ryan Fuhrman, Bailey Michael Cornett, Elisha David Cornett, Titus John Cornett, Tucker James Cornett, Valentina Isabel Fuhrman, Charlotte Kay Smith, and Benedict James Hogue; great-great grandchild, Owen Fuhrman and many other extended family members and friends.
