Ms. Rosina K. Brown, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in her home.

Rosina was born in Bad Tolz, Germany on June 7, 1923 to the late Johan and Maria Schmidk Kerschl. She married her loving husband, Fred H. Brown, an American US Soldier in 1954. During Mr. Browns 24 year stay in the Army, she lived at Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Knox, KY, Hanau Germany, Ft. Sill, OK, Alva, OK, and Ethiopia, Africa. In 1965 they made their home in Fayetteville where she worked at Bob’s Cleaners as a seamstress. After retirement, they enjoyed camping in the many Motor Homes that she and Mr. Brown owned and spent many winters in Florida visiting friends that they had made in the RV Club. She had a passion for gardening and growing plants that she kept in her Florida Room and loved her pets, having 2 dogs that lived long and happy lives and a cat of 14 years. She cared for her late Husband, Fred H. Brown through his illness and her daughters have given her the same care through her long illness. Known as Momma by her daughter’s, and the men in the family, Grandma by her grandchildren and Oma by her great granddaughter, Rosina has left a long and lasting legacy that will be cherished by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Sue Brown, a grandson, Terry Allen Richardson and a son-in-law, Robert Stovall.

The family extends heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the caring and compassionate members of Healthkeeperz Hospice Staff. We could not have done this without you. A special thanks to Shaguita Gregg for her special care to our loving mother.

She is survived by her daughters, Hannelore “Ann” Stovall of Fayetteville and Heidi Marie Harper and her companion Don Marshall; a brother, Johann Hans Kerschl of Germany; 3 grandchildren, Jim, Tanya and her husband Rob and Gene and 1 great grandchild, Carolina.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:45 AM Friday, June 26, 2015 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
