Mr. Roscoe Locklear, 84, went home to be with Jesus Thursday, January 25, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family.
Roscoe was born in Hoke County on May 25, 1933 to the late Archie and Sarah Bullard Locklear. He was the founder of several businesses in Cumberland County. He attended Macedonia Holiness Church and was a Deacon for many years. Roscoe set a Godly example and love for his children that will be passed down for generations. He will be greatly missed. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife; Helen, two sons; Walter Roscoe Locklear and Archie Junior Locklear, a grandson; Hoss Jacobs and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving children, sons; Stoney Locklear and wife Brenda of Wagram, NC and Anthony Ray Locklear and wife Deborah of Wagram, NC; daughters; Anna L. Jacobs and husband Larry P. of Fayetteville and Mary Locklear and husband Tyson of Fayetteville, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members.
Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Macedonia Holiness Church, 207 Indian Dr. Fayetteville, NC 28312.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Macedonia Holiness Church with Reverends Terry Cummings and Ken Simmons officiating.
Burial will follow in Sycamore Freewill Holiness Church Cemetery, 14901 Sycamore Church Rd. Maxton, NC 28364.
