Rocky Dale Carter

Mr. Rocky Dale Carter, 70, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in his home. Recently Rocky had faced many health issues, however he was known by all who loved him for his famous saying ‟I Feel Fantastic”.

Rocky was born Cumberland County North Carolina to the late Woodrow and Mary Koonce Carter. He worked as a Carpenter and was known for his craftsmanship. His hobbies included taking care of his dog “Jake”, his chickens, and his garden.

In addition to his parents Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his wife Joann Carter; a son, Shannon Carter; two brothers, Red Carter and Charles Carter; and a sister, Teresa Carter.

Left to cherish his memory is three brothers, Mitchell Carter, of Shannon, NC, Stacey Carter and Maxie Cater, both of Hope Mills, NC; five sisters, Linda Yochim, of Melbourne, FL, Betty Carter, Brenda Morrison, Sue Bennette, and Dottie Carter, all of Lumberton, NC; and three grandchildren Trent Olliff, of Loganville, GA, Shaea Olliff and Allie Olliff, both of Covington, GA. Mr. Carter is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
