Mr. Robert R. “Bob” Stovall, 72, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015, in his home.
Bob was born in LaFayette, IN on June 29, 1942 to Maynard and Emma Rayburn Stovall. He served in the US Army for 6 years and then worked for the NC Department of Corrections for 27 ½ years and retired as an assistant Superintendent for Hoke Correctional Institute at McCain, NC. He was an avid camper and a member of the Coastal Tarheel club. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a friend to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Hannelore “Ann” Stovall of the home; three daughters, Tanya Ann Roy (Rob) of Anderson Creek, NC, Lori K. Summers of Indiana and Mitzi S. Coy of Indiana; Mother, Emma Stovall of Indiana; a sister, Charlotte Lee Geswein (Jim) of Indiana; A special sister-in-law, Heidi Harper of Fayetteville; a special brother-in-law, Don Marshall of Fayetteville; three special nephews, Scott Roberts of Indiana, Jimmy Harper of Fayetteville and Chad Roberts of Indiana; A special niece, Sonja Heath of Indiana, one granddaughter, Carolina Ann Roy of Anderson Creek, NC; mother-in-law, Rosina Brown of Fayetteville.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304 with Mr. Mike Lucas officiating.
The family will receive friends after the Memorial Service at the Funeral Home.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Health Pavilion North Cancer Center, 6387 Ramsey St. Suite 140 Fayetteville, NC 28311.
Burial will be Private.
