CPL Robert Earl Burns, 63, of Fayetteville, NC passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 in his home.

Robert Earl was born a native of Fayetteville, on December 24, 1958 son of the late Lottie Mae Burns. CPL Burns joined the US Army on July 27, 1977 and severed more than five years before being Honorably Discharged at the conclusion of his service term.

CPL Burns served with the utmost distinction and received the following awards and decorations during his enlistment: Overseas Service Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Good Conduct Medal; Marksman Badge with Hand Grenade Bar; and Marksman Badge with M-16 Rifle Bar.

Robert Earl is survived by his brother, Roy W. Burns, of Frisco, TX; his aunt, Grace Burns, of Fayetteville, NC; his niece Sharron Jermen; his nephews, Timmothy Jermen, Jerome Burns, and Patrick Klee; several cousins, and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd. Fort Bragg, NC 28310.
