Richard Miller Johnson

Retired Air Force MSG Richard Miller Johnson , 78, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
MSG Johnson was born on April 11, 1935 in Chester County, PA to the late Harry and Mary Miller Johnson. He retired for the US Air Force as Master Sergeant and received the Airman’s Medal for swimming out in the ocean and saving a child during a severe storm. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Santha and his brother, Harry.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Shirley A. Johnson of Fayetteville; Son, Paul Johnson of Fayetteville; and many loving relatives from Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Nebraska and Iowa.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Rd., Fayetteville, NC 28304.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity in honor of Richard.
