Retired SFC Robert “Rob” Michael King, 58, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Rob was born in Long Beach California to Robert George King and Gerri Walker. He joined the US Army out of High School and served in Desert Storm and the Gulf War before retiring. After retiring from the Army, he went to work for Precision Walls Inc. He was a member of Good Shepard Catholic Church in Hope Mills and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Rob loved the Lord, his country and family. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Rob is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann King of the home; his mother, Gerri Walker of Sun City, California; his sons, Joshua Paul King (Heather) of Wasilla, AK and Lawrence Adair (Dusty) of Hope Mills; four daughters, Ann Richard (Wilfred) of Carthage, NC, Liana Guy (Branden) of Hope Mills, Emily Mae King (James) of Hope Mills and Deborah Timpanaro (Steve) of Hope Mills, and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

A Funeral Mass will be 12:00 noon March 19, 2015 at Good Shepard Catholic Church, 5050 Oak Street, Hope Mills, NC 28348 with Father Thomas J. Gaul officiating.

Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SK Ranger, First Citizens Bank 3626 North Main St. Hope Mills, NC 28348.
