At the break of dawn Monday, April 18, 2016 another Massey Hill pirate crossed that river into Heavens Doors.
Raymond Lewis Brock Jr. 85, a Fayetteville native and proud Massey Hill alumnus died at the Coventry House of Siler City where he resided the final months of his life.
Mr. Brock also known as Ray and Papa was born December 4, 1930. He proudly served as a US Marine and on the Fayetteville Police Department. He was a Korean war veteran.
Mr. Brock is survived by his daughter, Diane Mosier Terry, and husband John of Siler City, NC; brother in law Franklin Faulkner and wife Judy of Hope Mills, NC; a daughter in law, Candace Brock of Bonneau, SC; son in law, Kent Go of Devine, TX; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and his best furry friend, Moby.
Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pearl Faulkner Brock, daughter, Connie Brock Go and son, Larry Wayne Brock.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Hope Mills Cemetery on Legion Road, Hope Mills, NC with Pastor Lee Wiggins officiating.
A Visitation Dinner to honor Mr. Brock will follow the service at Sammio’s Italian Restaurant, 3057 N. Main St. Hope Mills, NC 28306.
