Mrs. Polly Devine, 85, of Fayetteville passed away February 19, 2013 in Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

Polly was born in Cumberland County on March 22, 1927 to the late Frank and Lillie Sessoms Welsh. She worked for Buddy’s Barbecue for 42 years. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. Preceding her in death is her husband Donald Devine Sr and a grandson, Curtis Jackson Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Donnie Devine and his wife Jackie of Parkton, Wayne Devine of Hope Mills; 2 daughters, Darlene Devine Jackson of Fayetteville and Polly Ann Meshaw of Hope Mills; 1 sister, Mildred Lovette of Fayetteville; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for the family will be 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at LaFayette Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304 and after the Funeral Service at Polly’s Kitchen, 2211 Cumberland Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28306.

Funeral services will be 3:00 Thursday, February 21, 2013 at LaFayette Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Leviner Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Welsh Family Cemetery on Camden Road in Fayetteville, NC.
