SPC Nickolas Ross Hayden, 21, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, July 22, 2012. Nickolas was born at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg on December 25, 1990 to MSG James H. & Molly R Hayden.

SPC Hayden graduated from EE Smith High School in 2009. He was raised in an Army family and has traveled extensively, and enjoyed fishing with his entire family. SPC Hayden decided to enter the Army and pursue a career as an Army Maintenance Technician and follow in his father’s footsteps, a decision that made his parents very proud. He has excelled in his chosen profession and made many friends, and was looking forward to his upcoming deployment next year.

SPC Hayden is survived by his parents MSG James H. & Molly R. Hayden (ret) of the home, his brother James R. Hayden, Jr. of Currie, NC, his paternal grandmother Phyllis H. Schoepf, of Jacksonville, FL, his maternal grandmother Elaine S. Singletary, of Asheville, NC, and a very large network of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 P.M Thursday, July 26, 2012 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, July 27, 2012 at The First Baptist Church, 201 Anderson Street , Fayetteville, NC 28301 with the Reverend Edward Beddingfield and Chaplain (CAPT) Aaron Swartz officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Sandhills Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake with Full Military Honors.
