Nancy Dale (Register) Boyd

Nancy, Dale Boyd, 72, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 in UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.

Dale was born in Henderson, NC on March 7, 1950, daughter to the late Claudie B. Register and Fannie Owen Register. Dale earned her Bachelor Degree and was employed as a Contracting Officer with the Department of Defense, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by 4 siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Roger A. Boyd II of the home; daughters, Kim Ames and husband Denzil of Fayetteville, Rhonda Cooper and husband Joe of Vero Beach, FL; sisters, Rachel Thompson of Maxton, NC, Peggy Johnson of Wilmington, NC, Margo Merritt of Fort Pierce, FL and Pat Kissinger of Greensboro, NC; 3 grandchildren, Brandon Ames, Tina DiPerna, Woody Warren and a host of extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 27, 2022 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 PM following the visitation with Rachel Thompson officiating.
