Nancy Ann (Stone) Allen

August 3, 1937 — February 28, 2024

Bluefield, WV

Nancy Ann Allen, eighty-six of Bluefield, WV peacefully passed away into the arms of her Savior Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Heritage Hall in Tazewell, VA.

Born in St. Pauls, NC August 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Mary Belch Stone. Ann was a retired beautician and cosmetologist who formerly owned and operated Family Hair Expressions in Princeton. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Princeton where her late husband, Rev. Charles B. “Bennie” Allen, Sr. served as minister with Ann by his side from 1987 until retirement in 2005. While in Houston, TX, Ann was the executive secretary to the President of Southern Bible College, Houston, Texas for 8 years. She was also an Adjunct educator at the same college. During this time, she attended and graduated from San Jacinto College in Houston. Before entering Heritage Hall, she attended the First Baptist Church in Bluefield with her son and daughter- in- law. From 1955 to retirement Charles and Ann faithfully served the Pentecostal Church of God and the Assembly of God organizations in numerous locations throughout the United States.

In addition to her parents and husband Ann was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Rev. Bobby Collins. Survivors include one son, Charles B. “Chuck” Allen, Jr. and his wife Susan of Bluefield; three granddaughters, Meghan Hardy and husband Jeremy of Wilmington, NC, Kristen Caudill and husband Dustin of Hays, NC and Caitlin Laxton and husband Bryce of Virginia Beach, VA; seven great-granddaughters, Olivia, Celia and Alayna Hardy; Madison and Mackenzie Caudill;  Ayda and Harper Laxton; one sister, Joyce Collins of Dunn, NC and three brothers, James B. “Jay” Stone and wife Mary of Hope Mills, NC, Jerry Stone and wife Jan of Wytheville, VA and John Stone and wife Donna of Smithville, VA.

In keeping with her wishes, Ann was cremated and graveside services to celebrate her life will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2024 where she will be laid to rest beside her loving and devoted husband of 65 years in Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville, NC.
