Mr. Michael Martin Goodman, 87, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 in White Oak Manor in Charlotte, NC.
Mr. Goodman was born November 22, 1924 in Bronx County, NY to the late Phillip and Celia Dorf Goodman. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and loved the 2nd Infantry Division he served.
He wore the emblem on his clothing showing his love. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Paul F. Goodman.
Surviving Mr. Goodman is his wife, June C. Goodman of California; two daughters, Ellyn M. Kirschner and her husband Neil of Charlotte, NC; Barbara B. Wasserstein of Port St, Lucie, FL; three brothers, Saul Goodman and his wife Bernice of Saddle Brook, NJ, Aaron Goodman and his wife Jill of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and Heshey of New Jersey; Sister, Shirlee Stockton of California; 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Mirsky, Matthew Mirsky, Gabrielle Wasserstein and Donna Marie Martocci; 2 great grandchildren, Diana and Nathan.
The family will receive friends at 2176 Graham Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held 12 noon Friday, September 7, 2012 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC.
