Melody Lynn Ford

Melody Lynn Ford, 44, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 in her home. Melody was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on September 25, 1977, daughter to Led and Mary Leary Ford.

Melody loved the outdoors and was a tomboy. If the boys did it, she did it. She had a great love for animals, going fishing with her dad, camping and mud bogging. Melody has been sick on and off for many years, but through it all, she always kept a positive attitude. She was greatly loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Justin Lanning of Fayetteville; her companion, Michael Starkings of Fayetteville; her father and mother, Led and Mary Ford of Fayetteville; a brother, Richard Steven Ford and wife Christina of Fayetteville; 6 nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 2, 2022 at LaFayette Funeral Home with Minister James Blount officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family, or to ASPCA because of her love for Animals or to North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center.
