Marlene Mae (Phillips) Rutledge

Marlene Mae Rutledge, 85, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Marlene was born in Fresno, CA on July 2, 1937, daughter to the late Don Phillips and Dorothy Netzley Phillips. Marlene was a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church and was an awesome Artist. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Rutledge; and her brother, Bruce Phillips.

She is survived by her son, Dallan Ragland, of Fayetteville, NC; her daughter, Marla Finn (Neal), of Fayetteville, NC; her grandson, Jackson Finn, of Fayetteville, NC; her sister, Dolli Long, of Scotts Valley, CA; and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 PM Eastern Time, 1:00 PM Pacific Time Monday, February 13, 2023 at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church Chapel, 701 Westmont Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28305 with Giles Blankenship Officiating.

The family will receive friends at 3:30 PM before the service and immediately after the service.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be Snyder Memorial Baptist Church Worship Ministry, 701 Westmont Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28305.
