Marlene (Stewart) Buie

Marlene S. Buie, aged 83, of Fayetteville, NC, went home to be with her lord and savior on May 14, 2024 at Haymount Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Marlene was born in Clinton, NC on May 26, 1940 to the late Bernard Stewart and Betty Pauline Stewart.

She is survived by her children: Jody Riggs and wife Rachael of Fayetteville, NC, Craig Riggs of Fayetteville, NC, Kimberly and husband Dave Platt of Olympia, WA and Dennis Riggs and wife Thi Cat of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers J. Dean Stewart, and Harry Stewart, both of Fayetteville, NC; sisters Linda Savage and husband John, and Dian Otstott of Fayetteville, NC; 6 grandchildren: Samantha Riggs, Jon Hagan and his wife Gabby, Sydney Hagan, Cortnie Langston and husband Rickie, Victoria Riggs, and Mackenzie Platt; 6 great-grandchildren: Julia, Savannah, Charlie Belle, Rowyn, Addison, and Kayce; and many extended family members and friends.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Galilee Freewill Holiness Church, 3525 Sunnyside School Rd., Fayetteville, NC 28312. Following the visitation, funeral services, led by Pastor Jerry Groves, will begin promptly at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cross Creek Cemetery.
