Marion was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on January 31, 1953 to the late Sidney Alexander Hartis and Retta Mae Steele Hartis. He was an Electrician before retirement and a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Annick R. Hartis of Fayetteville; sons, Patrick Alexander Hartis and his wife Melissa of Concord, NC and Jacob Harkey and his wife Christine of Anderson, SC; daughters, Crystal Nicole Hartis of Mesa, AZ and Patricia Hartis of Charlotte, NC; sister, Betty Sosa and husband Steve of Fayetteville; 4 grandchildren, Lily Hartis, Nathan Hartis, Alicia Harkey and Summer Harkey; 1 great grandchild, Athena.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, March 23, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 24, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Wilson officiating.
