Margaret was loved by all who knew her. She never knew a stranger in all of her 78 years on this earth. She was a people person and enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking her good ol’ country food for everyone. She always said if you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. During her life, you could catch her in the yard working in her beautiful garden, planting flowers and plants, feeding her chickens, dogs, cats, bunnies and geese. She loved to travel with family and friends, spending time at the beach and fishing. She enjoyed dipping her snuff and loving on her great-grandbabies. Margaret was a retired caregiver.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 from 6-8pm at Lafayette Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2pm in Lafayette Memorial Park West.
If anyone would like to give her flowers, the family is requesting planters. Margaret loved being outside planting, so we would love to plant flowers/plants in her honor and memory.
