Ms. Manor Lee (Chambers) Maddox, 87, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 in Haymount Rehabilitation Center.
Manor was born in Buncombe County, NC on January 11, 1930 to the late Edgar T. and Ila Fuller Chambers. She was a Master Chef at various locations in Asheville before retiring. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Maddox Sr., her siblings, Thelma Broadwater, Edgar (Hambone) Chambers, Ellen Gist, Clara Mae Shade, Nathaniel Chambers and Odessa Chambers.
She is survived by her three sons, Henry Jr. (Betty) of Stone Mountain, GA, Maurice (Margie) of Fayetteville, NC and Darryl (Patty) of West Palm Beach, Fl; two daughters, Alicia Maddox of Covington, GA and Kitty (Jimmy, Deceased) Harrigan of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Carree, Jarek (Enrika), Candice, Stacy, Maranda, Natina, 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 Saturday, August 26, 2017 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM following the visitation with Reverend Antonio Logan officiating.
Internment will follow at a later date in Asheville, NC.
