Mr. Luis Raul Valdez-Zamora, 52, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Valdez was born on November 24, 1961 in El Paso, TX. to Alberto Valdez and Antonia Zamora. He is preceded in death by his father, Alberto Valdez.
He is survived by his wife, Rosario Valdez of Fayetteville, NC; his daughter Cristina and her husband Alexander Cortes with their two children, Gabriel Valdez and Zoe Cortes of Oklahoma; his daughter Monica Valdez of Fayetteville, NC; his daughter Giovanna Metzer and her husband Ziv Metzer of Fayetteville, NC; an adopted son Jose Isreal Argueta of Fayetteville, NC; his mother Maria Antonia Zamora of Juarez, Mexico; his brother Alejandro Barrajas and his wife Magadelana and two sons, Osvaldo and Antonio of Juarez, Mexico; his sister Guadalupe Barrajas and her children Jesus Robles with his wife Yvette and two children, Danielle and Diego; Jorge Robles and wife, Marcela and two children, Paula and Sara; and Brenda Vasquez with her husband Jesus and son, Emilliano; a sister Norma Arroyo and her husband, David Arroyo and three children, Michelle, Alexandra and Rebecca and countless friends.
Visitation will be 12:00-3:00 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2013 at Lafayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Burial will follow at a later date in Juarez, Mexico.
