LTC. Manuel Arthur ‟Mickey” Conley, (Retired), 83, was born to the late Jeannette Bristow and Manuel Adrian Conley on March 6, 1937; died Monday, February 15, 2021 in his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dr. Conley was a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the US Army, who served his country for thirty three years. LTC Conley was Special Forces for ten years, served three tours in Vietnam and received numerous awards and decorations to include a bronze star with four OLC’s. After he retired from the army he received a doctorate degree from Middle Tennessee State University and taught history at The University of Pembroke.

Dr. Conley is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Conley of the home; a son, Sean Conley and his wife Fran of England; a daughter, Donna Gunderson of Fayetteville and three grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Wendy Carmikle, Sam Conley, and Charlie Conley.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be conducted at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Online Live Stream of the service will be available at www.lafayettefh.com.
