In Loving Memory of Loretta Brzeg Wagner

Loretta Brzeg Wagner, a remarkable woman of strength, independence, and kindness, passed away peacefully, just shy of her 85th birthday in Kannapolis, North Carolina on January 21st.  Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was preceded in death by her parents, Bronisalus Brzeg and Stephanie Trawczynski Brzeg, and her brother, Bobbie Brzeg. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Brzeg, and her loving children, Michelle (Bob) Sebastian, Bill (Lola) Cavalier, and Duane (Maho) Cavalier. Loretta was also blessed with a blended family that spanned many generations, including nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  And her beloved friend, Minnie Hopper, who became a member of our family.

Throughout her life, Loretta wore many hats, and one of her most devoted roles was as a dedicated employee at Kmart's headquarters, where she worked until her well-earned retirement. Her professionalism, integrity and zest for life were appreciated by colleagues.  Loretta's commitment to her job reflected her strong work ethic, positivity, and the values she instilled in her family.

Loretta's love for animals, particularly her dogs, brought her immense joy. Her anticipation of reuniting with her furry companions at the Rainbow Bridge in heaven reflects the deep connection she shared with her four-legged friends.

Known for her strong, independent nature, Loretta was also recognized for her kind and generous spirit. She found joy in sharing her love through the art of baking, creating delicious treats for those fortunate enough to enjoy them, especially her friends at the Villas at Forest Park Senior Apartment.

As she faced the challenges of life with bravery and a feisty spirit, Loretta's journey was made more manageable with the dedicated care and support of the staff at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the love, compassion, and dignity shown during this difficult time.

As we bid farewell to Loretta Brzeg Wagner, let us remember the moments of laughter, the comforting hugs, and the unwavering love she shared. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, a beacon of strength and inspiration. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and gratitude of those whose lives she touched.
