MSG Lisette Marie-Noelle Meline (US Army Retired), 70, passed peacefully on 27 February 2024. Born 26 December 1953 in Quatre-Bornes, Mauritius, daughter to the late Louis Emmanuel Meline and Marcelle Bernard. Destined to become a great leader, Mrs. Meline enlisted in the US Army on 21 November 1978 serving with the utmost distinction and honor for more than twenty years. MSG Meline retired from active duty on 14 November 2000.
During her service MSG Meline earned the following awards and decoration: Coast Guard Medal, Meritorious service Medal(2nd award), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal(4th award), Army Good Conduct Medal(7th award), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 bronze service star (BSS), Humanitarian Service Medal, Noncommissioned officers, Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 3, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (2nd award), Kuwait Liberation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (k)
MSG Meline had the following Military Education; Basic Army Administration Course, Supply Specialist Course, Primary Technical Course, Battalion Training Management System, Advanced noncommissioned Officer Course, Supply Property Book System, Senior Supply Sergeant, Primary Leadership Course,
Meline is survived by her loving daughter, Carinne Meline; her devoted son Eric Meline; her God-daughter, Dominique Phelps; her brother, Roland Meline and wife Brigitte; her sisters Danielle Phelps and Marguerite Meline; grandchildren, Eva Meline-Castro, Julian Meline-Cruz, and Nicolas Meline-Cruz; as well as a host of extended family members and friends in Mauritius and America.
Meline is preceded in death by her parents Louis Emmanuel Meline and Marcelle Bernard Meline; and her brother, Emmanuel Meline.
