Lillian Neal

Ms. Lillian L. Neal, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Autumn Care of Fayetteville.

Lillian was born on May 17, 1949 in Germany to R.C. and Meta Hinz Neal. She graduated from 71st High School and then attended Methodist College, Fayetteville State University and Graduated from the University of North Carolina Pembroke with a bachelor’s degree in English and was offered a fellowship from The University of North Carolina Pembroke. She loved working with Vision Impaired students and retired from the Cumberland County School System Vision Impaired Program. Lillian was highly respected in the community and was a kind soul helping many people and loved animals. She was a caring daughter to her mother and was very courageous and accepted her sickness. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her father, R.C. Neal.

Left to cherish his memory is her mother, Meta “Martha” Neal of Fayetteville; an uncle in Germany and several cousins.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at LaFayette Memorial Park West, 6701 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304 with Dr. Brian Lee officiating.
