Kum Ae Jones

Mrs. Kum Ae Jones (Nam Goong), 70, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Kum Ae was born in South Korea on August 5, 1950, the seventh child of the late Nam Goong Gyu and Han Hung Sun.  She married the love of her life, CW4 Clifford Jones in 1978 and traveled the world as a proud Army wife for over 30 years with him. Kum Ae worked as a dental assistant and volunteered with various organizations such as the American Red Cross and the Boy Scouts of America. She was also a faithful member of the military Catholic community and sang with the choir, most recently with the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Choir on Fort Bragg.

Kum Ae will be greatly missed and forever loved by her family and all who knew her. All would agree she was one of a kind. She is preceded in death by four brothers and a son-in-law.

Kum Ae is survived by her loving husband, Clifford Jones of Fayetteville; a son, Christopher Jones and his wife Rebecca Loh of Cambridge, MA; a daughter, Carolyn Jones of Highland Park, NJ; 2 sisters in Korea; and 4 grandchildren, Maggie, Judy, Delia and Sebastian.

A Funeral Mass will be held March 1, 2021 at 1100 at the Fort Bragg Main Post Chapel with Father Anthony Kazarnowicz officiating.
