Mrs. Katy Welsh Davis, 78, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Davis was born in Hoke County on July 22, 1937 to William M. Welsh and Lula Florence Reeves Welsh. Katy graduated from Hope Mills High School in 1955. She married Elray after graduation and was a homemaker. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Welsh and Margaret Jackson. Katy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Elray Davis of Fayetteville; three sons, Charles Davis (Stefanie) of Fayetteville NC, Timothy Davis (Lisa) of Fayetteville, NC and Mitch Davis of Youngstown OH; three Grandchildren, Kayla DeMino (Anthony), Andrew Davis and Garrett Davis; three Sisters, Mary Sutton of Hampstead, NC, Ruby Seals of Lumber Bridge, NC and Esther McLean of Hope Mills, NC
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304 with pastor Kenneth Williams officiating.
Visitation will be held 1:30-3:00 PM prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Davis Family Cemetery in Davis Bridge.
