Kathleen Autry Koester

Mrs. Kathleen Autry Koester, 88, died peacefully Tuesday, March 16, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born to the late Hughie Autry and Susan Autry on October 21, 1932 in Sampson County NC. Kathleen was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She also loved gardening, and cooking.

Mrs. Koester is preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Pearl Tew; her husband, George R. Koester; a daughter, Beverly Reeves; a step daughter, Linda Smith; three brothers, Vance Autry, Fred Autry, and Ireland Autry; a sister, Jeanette Autry; and a grandson, James S. Reeves III.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, James S. Reeves II (Rose), of Fayetteville; three daughters, Gail Burgess (Scott), of Fayetteville, Gwen Beasley (James), of Fayetteville, and Cynthia Weakley (Roger) of Florida; four grandchildren, Amy Robins, Carmen Faison, Aaron Beasley, and Charlotte Reeves; four great grandchildren; three step daughters, Peggy Boone, Joanne Grigsby, and Georgette Reese; two sisters, Elizabeth Spell, of Hope Mills, and Lois Martin, of Autryville; and a host of extended family and friends.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
