Katherine Mary (Ruszczyk) Raum

In Loving Memory of Katherine:

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Katherine. She left this world on November 20, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.

Katherine was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. The daughter of Frank and Kate Ruszczyk, Katherine was born on April 18, 1960 in Syracuse, New York.  She spent her years surrounded by a loving family.

As a mother, Katherine was the epitome of selflessness and devotion. She is survived by a loving husband, John Raum, daughter Mallory (Tony) Powers, daughter Cherie (Gary) Smith, daughter Vicki (Hector) Michaud, son John (Adriana) Raum, Bridgette (Deli) Vargas and her grandchildren who she adored. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her children, always placing their needs above her own. Her unwavering support, guidance, and unconditional love were the pillars upon which her family thrived.

Katherine had a vivacious spirit and an infectious laughter that could light up any room. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. Her warm smile and genuine interest in others' well-being endeared her to countless friends and acquaintances.

Throughout her life, Katherine was known for her unwavering strength and resilience, facing challenges with grace and determination. She was a source of inspiration and a guiding light for those around her. Her unwavering faith and positive outlook on life served as a beacon of hope to all who knew her.

In addition to being a loving mother, Katherine was a cherished sister, aunt, and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed by her surviving family members and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Although Katherine's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to live on in our hearts and memories. She has left an indelible mark on the lives she touched, and her legacy will be carried forward by those who loved her.

Katherine's departure has left a void in our lives, but we find solace in knowing that she is at peace. May her soul rest in eternal tranquility, and may we find strength in the memories and love she shared with us.

Forever in our hearts, Katherine will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
