Ms. Juanita Long Watson, 85, passed away Wednesday July 10, 2013 in Elizabrthtown Nursing Center in Elizabethtown, NC.
Ms. Watson was born in Hoke County in the Rockfish Community on November 26, 1927 to the late Alfred and Etta Andrews Long. She attended high school in Hoke County and graduated from Highsmith Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She later was a Nursing Instructor for Bladen Community College and retired in 1995 as a Motel owner/operator in White Lake, NC. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rockfish and was a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Watson.
She is survived by her sons, Phillip Watson and his wife Myra of Fayetteville, NC, William (Billy) Watson and his wife Carolyn of White Lake, NC and Robert (Bobby) Watson of Charlotte, NC; 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2013 in LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street with the Reverend’s Archie Barringer and James Baker officiating .
The family will receive friends following the service at Carroll Memorial Baptist Church 2220 Camden Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306.
