Joyce Carolyn (Taylor) Northen

Ms. Joyce Taylor Northen, 85, passed away Good Friday, April 18, 2014.

Joyce was born in St. Louis, MO on March 20, 1929 to Harold and Isabelle Henderson Taylor. Joyce was raised in Louisville, KY and attended University of Louisville. She was a bookkeeper early in life and moved to Summerville, SC where she spent over 20 years. She had a great love for the beach, her family, and her beloved Louisville Cardinals. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Arlington Northen II; as well as her parents and a brother, Harold "Jay" Taylor.

She is survived by her sons Fred Arlington "Tripp" Northen III of Douglasville, GA and Ford Wilkinson Northen of Snohomish, WA: daughters Karen Lee Northen Suarez of Hope Mills, NC and Barbara Carolyn Northen Alter of Bessemer, AL; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

She will be dearly missed and we know she is watching over us and in her own words.... "We'll just have to see what develops"!
